SUEÑOS SONQOLLAY
From the heart, a tribute to my Peru.
Sonqollay means “my heart” in Quechua. This collection was created as a tribute to my Peruvian roots, its culture and the stories that inspired each of these works.
Through different characters and scenes, the collection draws on childhood, traditions and Peru’s cultural diversity. It is also in this collection that I begin incorporating aguayo textiles into my paintings and sculptures, bringing their forms, colours and textures into my own artistic language.
Sueños Sonqollay brings together different ways of looking towards the same place: the Peru I admire, remember and carry with me.
MIRADAS DEL ALMA
Miradas del Alma is a tribute to childhood through a series of portratits of Peruvian children. Each face belongs to a different character, with its own expression and personality. Through them, I wanted to approach childhood in a simple and direct way, allowing their faces, and above all, their eyes, to tell the story.
ROSAS SONQOLLAY
In Rosas Sonqollay, the rose accompanies different expressions of my Peruvian culture, Characters, colours and different references are interpreted through my own perspective.
The rose appears differently in each work, sometimes more prominent, at other times almost as a detail, giving each piece its own character.
