In Peruvian Artemisa, a female bust meets the colours and textures of Peruvian aguayo. The textile crosses the face, intertwines with the hair and extends across the base of the sculpture, becoming part of the figure itself.
Created in resin and finished by hand, the piece combines the depth of its dark tones with small details of intense colour. I wanted to create a contemporary figure in which the aguayo is not simply a decorative element, but part of her presence and identity.
