A B O U T
Peruvian visual artist based in the United Kingdom
I come from a family of artists and grew up surrounded by art. My father was my first teacher and the person who inspired my love of creating. I later studied Drawing and Painting at the Ignacio Merino School of Art in Piura, Peru, where I began to develop my own visual language.
My work moves between painting and sculpture, with the human figure remaining a constant presence. Through it, I engage with emotions, memories, nature and elements of my Peruvian roots, creating characters and worlds that leave space for each person to find their own connection with the work.
Music is also an essential part of my creative world. As a singer-songwriter, art and music have always existed side by side in the way I express myself.
MY JOURNEY
My journey as an artist began in Peru, where I developed my first collections and exhibitions. Over the years, art took me to Mexico, an especially enriching period in which I continued to create, exhibit and encounter new influences and experiences.
I later moved to the United Kingdom, where my work has continued to grow and reach new audiences. Living and working across different cultures has broadened the way I see and create, while maintaining a connection to my Peruvian roots, which continue to appear in different ways throughout my work.

PAINTING, SCULPTURE & MUSIC
Growing up in a family of artists, painting and music were part of my life from an early age. I was constantly painting, while music was also a natural way for me to express myself. During my years at art school, both continued to grow with me and, over time, I began writing my own songs while continuing my journey as a painter.
In Mexico, I discovered a special connection with sculpture, and little by little it began to take an important place alongside painting. Music then began to become part of my work in a different way, finding its place within my exhibitions and the artistic events and projects I created. In this way, painting, sculpture and music each found their own place within my work.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to represent Peru at festivals, biennials, museums and cultural venues in different countries, including Mexico, Germany, China and the United Kingdom. My work is also held in collections across the Americas and Europe.

Artwork of the Month
ART & CHILDHOOD
Since 2022, during the summer months, I have returned to my beloved Catacaos, Piura, to develop and lead the project “Cuán importante es el arte en los niños” (The Importance of Art for Children).
Through different artistic activities, the project brings art closer to children and young people, encouraging them to discover creativity as a way of expressing themselves and as a positive tool in their lives. For me, sharing with them what art can offer during these formative years is one of the most meaningful parts of my work as an artist.
