The horse, an emblematic figure in Peru, takes centre stage in this work and represents for me a combination of tenderness, elegance and strength. Around it appear roses, a feline and parihuanas, bringing together different elements from the world of Sueños Sonqollay.
The work is painted in oil on aguayo textile. Despite the different layers of paint, the weave and texture of the fabric remain visible, keeping my roots present and becoming part of the composition itself.
The piece is completed by an unconventional frame, specially designed and crafted by Mark Mills
