"A Rose to the sky" was created as a tribute to my father, who was my first teacher and who awakened my love of art. The rose has a very personal meaning for me through him, and here I wanted to turn it into a simple and intimate gesture: a rose lifted towards the sky.
Made from aguayo textile, the rose appears suspended against a blue sky and clouds, becoming the only element to interrupt the openness of the landscape. The heavily textured frame, painted in shades of blue, forms part of the work and visually extends the atmosphere of the sky.
