In The Garden Within, the garden is not around the woman, it grows from her.
Roses appear across her skin, two more rest in her hands, and from her head emerges a large rose handcrafted from Peruvian aguayo fabric. A hummingbird approaches the flowers, bringing a small moment of movement to the stillness of the figure.
What we carry inside is not always visible to others. Memories, emotions, desires and the things we choose to nurture quietly become part of who we are. Here, that private inner world has found its way to the surface.
The Garden Within is a reminder to take care of that hidden place in ourselves, because what we nurture within eventually becomes part of what we give to the world.
