Shine On is about holding on to what makes us who we are, even when life around us changes. The horse, covered in golden leaf, stands against an intense electric blue, creating a strong contrast that immediately draws attention to the figure.
In this piece, the golden colour represents the value each of us carries within, shaped by our experiences and by what we learn along the way. Behind the horse, a circle of aguayo textile creates a subtle connection to my Latin American roots and brings something personal to the work.
The horse’s lowered head gives the piece a quiet, reflective presence. It does not need to appear triumphant to shine. Sometimes, shining simply means continuing to be yourself, whatever surrounds you.
