In Floreciendo Juntos, the woman and horse come together until they seem part of the same gesture. She rests beside him as the horse gently lowers his head, creating a moment of closeness, trust and calm.
A large yellow flower covers the woman’s eyes, while another blooms beside her arm. Between the delicacy of the flowers and the nobility of the horse, there is a balance between sensitivity and strength that we can often recognise in our own relationships.
The frame continues the story beyond the canvas. Small sculpted horses emerge from its surface and surround the painting, allowing the artwork to extend beyond its traditional boundaries.
Floreciendo Juntos reminds us that we do not always grow alone. There are encounters, affections and bonds that accompany us, transform us and help us to bloom.
