Floreciendo is part of my exploration of the inner garden, that personal space where our emotions, memories, experiences and desires grow and become part of who we are.
In this sculpture, the female figure seems to bloom from within. Roses handmade from aguayo fabric emerge from her, while a hummingbird rises above, bringing movement and a sense of freedom to the piece.

I chose to bring together the female form, painting, sculpture and textile because I wanted the materials themselves to become part of the story. The aguayo connects the work to my roots, while the roses and hummingbird speak of what we nurture and allow to grow within ourselves.

Floreciendo is an invitation to think about our own inner garden, what we cultivate, what we protect, and what we allow to bloom.
