Amelie brings together landscape, nature and the human figure in a world where they seem to become part of one another. At the base, the girl’s clothing grows from the colours of Peru’s Rainbow Mountain, its different layers recalling the many cultures and roots that can come together as one.
Her face appears softly among translucent roses, while a vibrant magenta rose becomes part of her head. Above her, condors take flight, carrying with them that extraordinary sense of freedom we feel when looking towards an open sky.
Through layers of colour and delicate glazes, the different elements gradually merge. The girl, the landscape, the flowers and the condors become part of the same story, reminding us that however different our origins may be, there is always something that connects us.
