MILI VEGA
Mili Vega is a Peruvian visual artist and singer-songwriter based in the UK.
Coming from a family of renowned artists, her foundational artistic training was deeply influenced by them. She began her formal education by earning a Fine Arts degree, specializing in Painting, from the School of Fine Arts “Ignacio Merino” in Piura, Peru. Parallel to her studies, she developed her practice by exhibiting regularly at the family-run Vega Art Gallery and other significant venues in her hometown and nationwide, while also performing intimate musical shows.
Music was an essential part of her artistic career in Peru, where she recorded an album titled Esencia, featuring original compositions as well as works by other authors. Later, her artistic journey led her to Mexico, where she expanded her sculptural practice and studied at the prestigious “Esmeralda” School of Fine Arts in Mexico City through advanced workshops and specialized training.
Currently based in London, she has continued her artistic development by participating in professional workshops and courses at the Art Academy of London and Draw Brighton Studio. While her main focus is now painting and sculpture, she integrates her three passions by performing intimate acoustic sets at her solo exhibitions.
Her collection of paintings are displayed in Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Mexico, United States, Canada, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and the UK.
She has participated in numerous international art festivals and biennials representing Peru, with solo exhibitions and concerts held in prestigious museums as well as diplomatic venues.
