“Rose Spirit” is a retablo created with my roots in mind and all that I hold dear within them. It features three Aguayo roses, one at the centre and two on the side doors, symbolising my origin, my journey, and my essence. Behind them, a sunset-hued violet landscape, painted in oil and inspired by a photograph taken by my husband, expresses the warmth and emotion of the piece. When opened and closed, it conveys tenderness and the depth I aimed to capture. When closed, the outer roses form a heart, crafted from texture and layers of colour.
Handmade, painted in oil, designed as a poetic box, side doors with central roses, inner sculptural-textured roses, painted in oil with layered veils, and designed as a poetic box ready to accompany any space.
